POSITION PURPOSE:

To maximize customer satisfaction by providing neat and clean guest rooms in accordance with Hilton standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Ensures customer satisfaction by cleaning guest rooms daily according to operational policies, procedures, and standards.

Removes soiled bed and bath linens and replaces with clean linens as required.

Removes accumulated trash and debris from room as required.

Cleans bathroom area.

Dusts all surfaces.

Replenishes promotional materials and literature as needed.

Replenishes room amenities.

Vacuum room.

Reports any unusual circumstances to Housekeeping Department.

Reports maintenance requests and replacement orders.

Turns in articles left in room to Executive Housekeeper for “Lost and Found” procedures.

Reports all “Do Not Disturb” or bolted door rooms to Executive Housekeeper.

Uses various housekeeping chemicals as necessary to clean assigned guest rooms.

Maximizes job efficiency and orderly appearance by maintaining supply cart.

Stocks supply cart correctly.

Places cart and vacuum cleaner according to operational procedures.

Replaces and/or empties vacuum cleaner on regular basis.

Other:

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Hilton from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.

Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Hilton rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of hotel facilities. Employees who violate Hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

  • Ability to stand/bend/stoop for long periods of time.
  • The ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with guests and employees is preferred.
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers.
