A Day in the Life
In this role, you will report to the Test Engineering Manager. You will apply your technical expertise solve complex technical problems with ingenuity and creativity. Problems could be related to new Test fixture designs and/or supporting legacy production test systems.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Determine process for testing a components, sub-assemblies, Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) or multiple systems in order to assure that it meets applicable minimum performance standards
- Interface and coordination with the factory.
- Obtain and provide information/status to technical and non-technical coworkers within the organization.
- Leading and owning test system redesign and improvement projects
- Design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment
- Support new test system and test application development as a subject matter expert in your area
- Compile data and define changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements
Must Haves - Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of test engineering experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of test engineering experience
- Able to lead Subcontractors, Outside Engineering Services, and/or global engineering resources.
- Ability to read and follow schematics.
- Proficient at report writing
- Experienced with Microsoft Office
- Programming experience in some or all of the following:
- National Instruments LabView development
- National Instruments Test Stand development
- Microsoft C++ or C# development
- Microsoft Visual Basic development
