Service Technician Job at Dorsey Tire
Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver of tires
- Help to ensure outstanding customer service and satisfaction
- Dismount and mount any type of tire on drop center, semi-drop center and multi-piece rims.
- Determine repairable tire conditions and make such repairs.
- Removal of tires for retreading or repair as required
- Match mating of dual assemblies.
- Inflation of tires to prescribed PSI per load requirements.
- Assist in cleaning and maintaining Service Equipment.
- Proper execution of required billing documents (accurate and legible).
- Compliance with OSHA regulations and safety requirements pertaining to this position.
- Follow all safety rules and procedures.
- Prepare customer billing documents.
- General maintenance of truck and equipment
- Communicate in an honest and professional manner to customers and supervisors
- Willing to work irregular hours.
- Keep all documents and maintenance records up to date on equipment assigned (i.e. DOT Log.)
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Requirements
- Willingness to attend training sessions
- Valid driver’s license required for qualified over the road truck driving.
- Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment drug screen & criminal background check as a condition for employment
Minimum requirements
- High School graduate or 3 months relevant experience
- Acceptable technical knowledge
- Good communication skills (oral and written).
- Ability to take initiative
- Ability to read and write
- Able to work without direct supervision
