BASIC FUNCTION

To continue and aid our success in delivering a Total Customer Experience, seeking a talented individual to be Shipping & Receiving Supervisor responsible for all Shipping, Receiving activity at the Des Plaines Chemical Manufacturing facility. The incumbent of this role will also be responsible for the Warehouse section of the plant and supervise a team of assigned personnel, all activities including 5S and compliance with the Production System (DPS) guidelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receiving of all raw materials and packaging.

• Sampling of FDA raw material for Lab analysis.

• Segregation of materials until approved for use by quality.

• Segregation of all oxidizing and flammable materials.

• Coordinate the picking, packing, and staging of customer orders.

• Ensure the proper loading of all products for transportation.

• Ensure all shipments meet CFR49 standards.

• Proper processing of all transactions in SAP.

• Put away of manufactured products.

• Warehouse and bin maintenance.

• Proper maintenance of equipment and facility.

• Ordering MRO items when necessary.

• Safety compliance and training.

• Creating and communicating daily performance measures.

• 5S and Lean Manufacturing activities and initiatives

REQUIRED SKILLS / COMPETENCIES

• Strong organizational skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work well with all parts of the

organization

• Ability to work well under pressure and assist team under pressure

EXPERIENCE / BACKGROUND

• Associate’s Degree preferred

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Shipping and Receiving

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in leading a team

• CFR49 certification

• Knowledge of Lean and 5S principles.

• Experience with MS Office

• Experience with SAP preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
