Kaufman Development is seeking a Social Media Specialist to help grow and engage our target audiences on both Instagram and TikTok. This person will report to and support the Marketing Manager in the day-to-day execution of social media strategy that includes managing the editorial calendar and creating original content for our brands.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in social media marketing, ideally for a lifestyle brand
• Prior experience driving day-to-day social media execution on Instagram, and TikTok in a in an autonomous manner
• Exceptional writing skills and ability to translate complex topics into simple, digestible, buyer-oriented copy
• Ability to multitask and prioritize projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Collaborative team player with great interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
• Ability to deliver feedback thoughtfully and receive it gracefully
• Strong project management skills and attention to detail
• Familiarity with the Franklinton Arts District and the Columbus creative communities
• Knowledge of Tableau dashboard reporting, Sprout Social and YouTube Shorts a plus

Responsibilities

• Design and implement social media content that aligns with our brands and overarching business goals
• With direction from the Marketing Manager, manage editorial planning and scheduling process
• Manage day-to-day posting on Kaufman social properties
• Write and edit engaging, relevant copy that quickly hooks our target audience and encourages action
• Collaborate with our external partners on social graphics & video content
• Monitor, listen and respond to audience comments and direct messages
• Assist Marketing Manager in social media performance tracking & reporting process
• Be a steward of best practices in messaging, grammar, and writing for social media
• Help educate and elevate the team’s understanding of social media best practices
• Stay on top of trends and tools in the social media space on TikTok and Instagram
• Provide support at lifestyle photo & video shoots
• Attend community events to capture & post content, as requested.
