Job description: The Maintenance Scheduler or Maintenance Planner will work with the Production Scheduler, Shift Supervisors and Maintenance Technicians to coordinate and plan maintenance work in a manner which facilitates good communication, efficiency and minimal equipment downtime. A properly planned and scheduled work force can get more work done with higher quality results in the same amount of resource hours.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Research potential vendors.
• Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers.
• Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing.
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Review quality of purchased products.
• Enter order details (ie; vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases.
• Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices.
• Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analysis.
• Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage.
• Will be required to inventory the stock room/parts storage at a regular frequency and maintain required stock levels of consumables.
• Will stock shelves and use forklift to move crated and skidded materials. May assist
• offloading supplies from vendors vehicles.
• Individual will be expected to act with high level of professionalism as they interact with
• vendors and coworkers.
• Create purchase orders using Epicor Purchasing System.
• Contact vendors to obtain price and delivery quotes.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma.
• Practical experience with purchasing software helpful. – ordering program for material
• Strong analytical skills.
• Sound research and networking skills.
• Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
