AmeriCorps North Carolina

Summer Associates will serve at a local nonprofit focused on educational equity, community development, housing, and/or economic empowerment. Summer Associates supporting the WFU Freedom School will work to combat summer learning loss through a summer school program for elementary school students at Title I schools. Summer Associates will develop skills in communication, data analysis, partner development, market research and project management. Nonprofits form a network of organizations focused on alleviating poverty in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Member Duties : Summer Associates will develop skills in communication, data analysis, partner development, market research and project management. Summer Associates will work closely with a site supervisor to complete a project for the nonprofit during the summer service period. Projects include building databases, developing volunteer recruitment and training, creating marketing materials, conducting outreach, and developing virtual training for nonprofits.
