Supply Chain Analyst, Home Depot - REMOTE - Detroit, MI
The Blueprint (Role Profile)
The Supply Chain Analyst, Home Depot, will work directly with THD on order fulfillment execution and to partner with demand and supply planning to identify exceptions that have an impact on (or are impacted by) forecasts and supply inventory and service goals. They will use analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, and enhance supply chain processes. They have responsibility for assembling data, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing recommendations which support high level of order fulfillment to Home Depot. They will analyze the movement of goods through the supply pipeline, monitor current processes, identify and analyze gaps, and develop process improvements. Additional areas of responsibility could include supply management, project management, and customer service among others.

The Build (Responsibilities)
Tactical – 70%
- Review daily orders to identify and take actions on exceptions including:
- Order errors, cancels, over-consumption to forecast, DC issues (canceled after delivery was created). Follow through to identify and communicate actions required by Sales, Customer Service, Demand Planning, Supply, and Distribution.
- Work with THD replenishment team to manage special order execution (promotional pallets, new product launch, Direct Import orders). Ensure alignment between the demand forecast and the incoming orders.
- Provide short supply and recovery information by sku to Demand Planning team. Identify current and future supply gaps and communicate shortage period (and incoming supply) on a weekly basis.
- Proactively plan transition skus – identify timing for sku changes and work with Sales, THD, and Demand Planning to have orders changed to new skus when the old product inventory has been depleted.
- Maintain weekly fill rate and in-stock scorecard. Develop a pareto of root cause for fill rate issues on a monthly basis. Review Vendor Scorecards provided by THD to reconcile ATG vs. Customer fill rate results.
- Manage repacking projects as necessary.
- Gathers and interprets relevant data (costs, productivity, demand patterns, etc.)
- Designing / Improving necessary processes, systems, reports, KPI's.
- Other tasks that support overall supply planning function, as required.
Strategic – 30%
- Working to reduce waste from supply chains, reducing lead time & inventory while improving service.
- Supporting financial management goals.
- Leading and/or participating in Global S&OP processes.
- Provides analytical support for projects, new business opportunities, and proposals
- Identifying and resolving conflicts with respect to materials and capacity availability.
The Toolbox (Qualifications)
- 5 or more years of experience in Demand Planning, Operations, Inventory Management, Supply Chain Management, or Procurement demonstrating progressively increasing responsibility and autonomy.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (additional 4 years of experience)
- Strong analytical skills and project management skills
- Willing to be flexible and adapt to changing business priorities.
- Demonstrates a high level of energy and enthusiasm for the business.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of colleagues across a global business.
- Systems expertise including solid proficiency in Excel as well as experience with MRP Operating systems.
- Travel 10-20% of job time, while not expected to be a majority of duties, must be able to do as required,
- Conference calls may be outside of standard working hours.
This position’s anticipated annual salary range is $74,000— $110,000. Apex Tool Group’s competitive compensation package includes medical, dental, vision, life and short term and long-term coverage/insurance, 401(k) Savings Plan, educational assistance, 15 days paid vacation, and 11 paid holidays.
