Job Description Summary

As a Supply Chain Design & Optimization Manager, you're responsible for leading and driving Supply Chain Network Optimization type projects aimed at improving Serviceability to our customers, enabling regional growth in emerging markets, standardizing KPI across businesses and regions while managing and reducing total landed cost/cash through rationalization of footprint, suppliers and effective supplier management in the assigned region(s). In addition, you will add insight and expertise to overall Supply Chain and Services vision, mission and strategic imperatives as required.

Job Description

Key responsibilities include:

  • Perform modeling and simulation of financial and operational processes for decision making, as far up and down the value chain as required.
  • Develop supply-chain intelligence, including evaluating market value to product, generating intelligence around how to serve market needs with supply-chain operations, and assessing the impact of new product and process technology on the network configuration and overall supply-chain performance.
  • Drive Warehouse strategy by performing total landed cost modeling, analyzing tradeoffs, running simulation of financial and operational processes for decision making as far up and down the value chain as required. Formalize analysis and recommendations into executive summaries for decision making.
  • Drive footprint strategy roadmap enabling business growth in emerging markets by actively evaluating customer & footprint needs opening/closing of variable space, consolidation(s) and improved trade flows.
  • Operationalize roadmap to multi-generational plan, organize execution and involve all required stakeholders, where necessary.
  • Formalize analysis and recommendations into executive summaries for decision making.
  • Identifying, creating, and implementing Standard Operating Procedures and guidelines as needed.
  • Creates energy to deliver company goals through creation and comprehensive communication of practical “hands-on” operational plans and strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 7 years of work experience in Strategy, Supply Chain value-stream (Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, Reverse Supply Chain) or Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience creating regional strategies involving multiple distribution centers, driving successful implementation of strategy, related technology, international trade compliance, financial analysis and project management.
  • Experience in supply chain modeling & simulation.
  • Proven business/financial acumen, including demonstrated experience in motivating, influencing, solving complex problems, and driving change at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to meet deadline in a fast pace changing environment.
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of time.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or MS in Logistics, Engineering or Supply Chain Demonstrated Supply Chain or Logistics leadership of multiple facilities in a similar industry.
  • Excellent project management, communication and analytical skills.
  • Lean Expertise, including Lean Six Sigma process methodology.
  • Experience working in a compliant supply chain.
