Surgery Center at Flagstaff Bone & Joint Flagstaff, AZ 86001
Our hospital is looking for an experienced Surgical Technician to join our team. This individual will assist with orthopedic surgeries and will be primarily responsible for preparing patients for surgery, sterilizing surgical instruments, preparing patients prior to surgery and monitoring patients' vital signs during procedures. The successful candidate will hold a high school diploma and certification as a surgical technician. The ideal candidate is highly knowledgeable about orthopedics and thoroughly enjoys helping others in need.
Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeons in preparing for and performing orthopedic procedures.
- Be in charge of the OR surgical area and ensure that it is set up for the procedure.
- Monitor, maintain, sterilize, and prepare surgical tools and equipment.
- Verify that all instruments are sterile before use in surgery.
- Assist with collecting blood, urine, and feces samples.
- Record patient information.
