This is a hands-on managerial position in support of the Practice Owner and Associate(s). The person in this position is the every-day "visible face" of the practice in relation to the daily interactions and communications with our clients and their pet's, the clinic's support staff, our grooming facility, other veterinary practices, outside vendors and service providers.
The person in this position is primarily responsible for (A) developing and maintaining good client relations and long-term retention (B) maintaining consistent smooth daily operations of the practice (C) maximizing the available delivery time of the doctors' practice of medicine (D) developing and maintaining a harmonious culture of excellence within the practice (E) managing the business aspects of the practice and (F) contributing actively to the development and achievement of the longer term practice goals consistent with the 2008 Mission (Vision) Statement.
The practice manager has a mandate of hand-on responsibility that broadly encompasses the following aspects of the practice:-
- CLIENT/PATIENT RELATIONS (FRONT OF THE HOUSE).
- PRACTICE OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT (BACK OF THE HOUSE).
- MEDICAL AND OPERATIONAL STANDARDS AND PROTOCOLS.
- SUPPORT STAFF DEVELOPMENT.
- PRACTICE ADMINSTRATION.
- PRACTICE DEVELOPMENT.
