Position Description:

The Dean's Office Administrative Assistant operates our customer-facing front desk and establishes positive, caring, and respectful relationships with all stakeholders at the College. The Administrative Assistant supports program financial operations by assisting the Dean, Executive Assistant to the Dean, Chief of Staff, and others housed within the Dean's Suite, is responsible for maintaining files, and completes other administrative tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • First person of contact in Dean's office; responsible for front desk coverage including welcoming guests and visitors
  • Maintain, reserve and communicate schedule of Dean's Office conference rooms
  • Answering and directing phone calls to appropriate offices and departments
  • Tracking and distributing incoming documents
  • Assisting in administrative duties such as scanning, organizing, creating file folders, etc.
  • Sort incoming mail into proper departmental bins
  • Oversee and maintain common areas in the Dean's Suite
  • Effective interpersonal, organizational, and communications skills, including written and verbal
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree or Two Year University equivalent.
  • Experience with administrative duties, financials, or support roles in either education, government, or business
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Quickbooks, and Peoplesoft
  • Strong communication skills
  • Office management and organizational skills
  • Ability to self-direct and manage workload
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
