The Strategy Planning & Analysis team is looking for a talented Associate to drive our global growth efforts in themed, ticketed, consumer-facing Live Experiences. We’re looking for an Associate who can help the Live Experiences team innovate at the portfolio level and within individual experience projects — including food & beverage and merchandise offerings.

In this role, you will need to be a self-starter, big-picture thinker, and analytical thought partner with an eye for detail, and tremendous skills and experiences as a cross-functional partner. You must thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess a high level of intellectual curiosity, and embrace ambiguity and change. You must be a solutions-oriented problem solver with a focus on generating impact and results, and be able to communicate complex ideas using both qualitative and quantitative means to communicate to a broad spectrum of stakeholders. The position is based in our Los Angeles office and will work closely with our head of Live Experiences and the Managing Director of the Roald Dahl Story Company.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop growth strategies and plans to scale the Experiences business throughout UCAN, EMEA, LATAM, and APAC
  • Lead long-range planning with an eye towards execution and in-market impact
  • Develop and manage business models and P&Ls to optimize consumer reach and guest satisfaction in line with financial and operational targets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative go-to-market strategies and business models that complement our broader Content strategy
  • Apply innovation and forward-thinking to disrupt the way consumers shop for and interact with their favorite film/TV stories, and test new channels, technologies, and transformational ideas
  • Inform title and audience prioritization, marketing & operational decisions, and assess past programs via development of key metrics, strategic frameworks, and analyses
  • Support broader brand and franchise strategy development in partnership with Content and Marketing teams
  • Conduct market research, track and compile industry trends and competitive analyses to inform consumer-centric strategies
  • Create deliverables and present to a broad range of creative to technical business partners, as well as external partners
  • May require some travel outside of Los Angeles for external/internal meetings with partners in other regions, as well as for experiences in development or launching around the world

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in a highly analytical environment, e.g. strategy in a live/themed entertainment or hospitality company, top management consulting firm, or investment bank. We are looking for candidates that have worked in a highly-demanding environment in which complex modeling and analysis is performed.
  • Experience in developing strategies and executing plans to operate and scale consumer-facing businesses across multiple markets
  • Experience in working with top-tier Intellectual Properties (IP)
  • High aptitude and enthusiasm for problem-solving, research, and financial modeling used in support of analyses and prescribed recommendations
  • Excellent in crafting, presenting and socializing complex ideas, recommendations, and insights with an adaptable communication approach necessary to partner with broad stakeholder groups
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for process and business improvement opportunities
  • Demonstrated cross-cultural understanding and intelligence

The overall market range for roles in this area of Netflix is typically $60,000 - $385,000.
