Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team in the Health and Human Services/ Administration for Community Living. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing data-oriented programming techniques and analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information. This information will be used to inform policy and decision-making within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret large structured and unstructured datasets using data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning techniques.
  • Develop and implement data-oriented programming techniques and analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information.
  • Visualize, interpret, and report data findings using visualization software.
  • Create dynamic data reports that can be easily accessed and updated by stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders within the Health and Human Services/ Administration for Community Living to identify and address data-related challenges.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in data science, and apply this knowledge to improve data analysis and reporting within the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data science or a related field.
  • Strong experience with data-oriented programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
  • Proficiency in data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning techniques.
  • Experience with visualization software such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience working with health-related data is a plus.
