General Purpose
The Director will define the vision and strategy to maximize both consumer experience and cost recovery from product returns. This is a multi-faceted role encompassing responsibility in Supply Chain, Reverse Logistics, Transportation and Refurbishment Operations. This position will be responsible for the end-to-end supply chain through the reverse logistics flow and into the channels for the re-sale of refurbished products.
Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Design, develop and deploy programs and processes for best in class recovery strategies and reverse logistics network optimization.
- Analyzes and reports on the performance of the reverse logistics operations network including both in-house and outsourced operations.
- Collaborate closely with key stakeholder teams including Logistics, Quality, Customer Service, Procurement, Planning, and Sales and Marketing to establish and build cross-functional buy-in for new strategies.
- Participates in the development of demand creation strategy and marketing programs that drive demand for the products.
- Works closely with IT to develop and deploy technology solutions to facilitate existing and new business processes.
- Manages the financial performance and risk management of customer returns, damages, trade-in, closeouts and recall.
- Develops and manages worldwide go-to-market strategies and new asset recovery channels.
- Works with Product Managers and Operations Teams to ensure spares and accessories are stocked for all NPI products at time of launch.
- Effectively manage repairs and refurbishment workstreams to identify opportunities and optimize cost, customer service and quality across all products and geographies.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in Supply Chain
- 4+ years work experience in reverse logistics/returns management and the disposition and transformation process related to returns
- Outstanding analytical capabilities, h igh level of proficiency in Excel and data analysis.
- Able to analyze existing business processes, create new processes and document process flows in Microsoft Visio or similar tools
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work cross functionally in a dynamic environment. Strong work ethic with high degree of flexibility.
- Willing to travel, domestic and international, up to 15%
- Proven Writing Skills: RFP and business plans
- Proven track record of market segmentation, customer analysis, competitive analysis, and positioning experience
- Experience in consumer hardware
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Bi-Lingual: Mandarin and English, a plus
For roles that are based at our headquarters in Milpitas, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
Annual Salary Range $150,000—$200,000 USD
