Overview:
The Quality and Process Improvement Specialist is a champion for quality and process improvement throughout our Engineering and Equipment Division. This role is committed to operational continuous improvement to include:

• monitoring processes to ensure compliance with company standards and procedures;
• improving efficiencies to reduce the potential for errors, and;
• providing leadership and guidance to internal teams to achieve performance targets.

Key to this role will be auditing, developing, or modifying processes, leading quality and process focused teams, and developing, conducting, or facilitating training as appropriate.
Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain Kurita America’s quality policy, procedures, and work instructions to maintain our ISO9001:2015 certified E&E Quality Management System. This will include coordination of any QMS documentation changes required as the QMS system evolves to current business requirements, ISO Specification revisions, and other activities.
• Support functional departments in defining effective and efficient quality and work processes.
• Monitor and improve interdepartmental handoff processes.
• Oversee the internal auditing system and maintain/train a group of qualified internal auditors.
• Schedule and oversee the external auditor process to maintain ISO certification.
• Support any 3rd party audits or requests from the Kurita Group which pertain to E&E’s QMS system.
• Review all customer directed quality communications. Initiate, monitor, and conduct Root Cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Manage the Nonconformance system to include publishment of monthly and quarterly KPIs to management.
• Plan and conduct quarterly Leadership Review meetings.
• Conduct QMS training as identified (new employee, annual refresher, etc.).
• Lead E&E BPI, workflow, and other process improvements to increase operational efficiency and cost effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience with ISO 9001:2015. Strong understanding of the ISO9001:2015 specification
• 2+ years of higher education or equivalent experience.
• Computer proficiency in MS Office and Visio, and a good working knowledge of office technology.
• Flexible communication style (good verbal and written skills) for regular interaction with peer departments.
• Able to leverage experience, independent judgment and problem-solving skills to plan and accomplish goals.
• Highly organized with excellent attention to details.
• Uses company resources in a cost-effective manner including good time management.
• Serves as a leader and role model for others.
